A great day to fly hand launch is Saturday since winch launching takes place on Sunday's. Bertram Field is a great place to fly DLG's with a great space to search, find and center thermals and fly downwind. The surrounding topography allows for challenges no matter which way you go.

The surge in hand launch glider popularity is evident at our flying site. Many of our members enjoy the challenge of DLG flying and enjoy competing.
